Tata Punch is a feature-rich mini SUV, but you must expand your budget to top-spec models to take full advantage of these features. If it makes more economic sense for you to buy a lower trim level, you can still get most of the safety equipment at a lower price, and add after-sale accessories to upgrade basic technology and infotainment features. Watch the video below to learn about the cost of upgrading Punch Adventure variants in appearance and functionality, which saves approximately Rs 200,000 compared to creative decoration (ex-showroom):

The pink interior parts and seat covers contrast with Punch’s black and slate interior color scheme (although, maybe the pink pillars are a bit too much?) on all four doors under the front seats A slender environmental lighting strip, under the blinds below the central vent, the foot space is also illuminated. The shutters themselves are gray plastic in the Adventure version and are now made of pink artificial leather. On the door sill, a new anti-scratch board with a luminous "Punch" logo was installed.

As stock, the Punch's Adventure variant has a basic audio system and four coaxial speakers. But the accessories store in New Delhi has replaced the small inventory console with a new Android-based touch screen, which seems to be larger than the 7-inch touch screen of the top creative variant! In order to get better audio within the budget, the owner chose to pair the front coaxial speaker with two tweeters with crossovers properly installed. The crossover separates the high and low frequencies of the input audio, so the coaxial speaker is now biased towards the bass, while the tweeter provides the treble.

Externally, the pink interior Punch has a new after-sales LED DRL strip on the eyebrow of each parking light. DRL lights up in a bright amber color, which has a dynamic turn signal-like appeal. Although the owner of this Punch did not choose to upgrade the headlights, the existing halogen fog lamps have been replaced by powerful HID (High Intensity Discharge) projector fog lamps. We are not sure if they have the turning function that the factory-installed fog lamps have, because you can only get it on the "done" and "creative" variants.

The Adventure variant has the same standard government-mandatory safety features as the basic Pure variant, including dual front airbags, ABS with brake sway control, and ISOFIX child seat fixtures. In addition, it is also equipped with manual anti-glare inner rearview mirror (IRVM). This variant of Punch also does not have a parking camera, so the accessory store connects the after-sales camera to the infotainment screen.

All in all, the modification parts and accessories total 55,000 rupees. The shop recommends setting aside a budget of Rs 70,000 for accessories. We think it’s easy to get into trouble with retrofitting, and the equipment you really need depends on how you use the micro SUV. In the final analysis, your car is your canvas, so please make it according to your wishes and tell us in the comments how you can equip the medium-sized Tata Punch with accessories.

Will I lose the warranty for such modifications?

If the car is in the warranty period and breaks down due to the failure of after-sales accessories, the car manufacturer and dealer can decide by themselves whether to carry out the warranty within the warranty period. For more safety, you can try to buy high-quality accessories, components and wiring, but there are still risks.

Simply put, most dealers will not bother you with audio upgrades, new seat covers, or turning car interiors into pink. Electrical components can be dangerous at times, but a professional car electrician knows the correct way to install them without interfering with the car's electrics. If you still feel uncomfortable about losing the warranty, you can wait 2-5 years at any time before making modifications and accessories to your car.
